After being begrudgingly dragged along by a his school mates to an underground
Jungle & Hardcore club called “Gravity” back in 1996, fake ID in hand and witnessing
the amazing resident DJ Menis on the decks, Olly was inspired and hooked. Having
been staunchly into Rap music only since 1988, this was a strange but welcome
change in perspective, the ethos of PLUR and the energetic vibe felt like home..
After realising his interest he began the process of hassling his best mate from
primary school, Rob (Boy-D) who was already a great deejay and had 2 x 1200’s in
his bedroom, he jumped on at every opportunity. Much to the frustration of Rob
having to listen to all the train wrecks haha! To save the friendship, he scraped up
enough cash to buy 2 omnitronic decks and a 2 channel numark mixer & started
learning to mix in his bedroom in the summer of 1997.

He got his first club booking in 1999 at a club night called Euphoria (XS Promotions/
DJ Freestyle) back in Perth, Western Australia and launched his own Promotion
company called Ruff Knite Productions along with best mate Hilton Shaw (Magnetic),
who he now runs 459 record with to this day. RKP was one of the main promotion
teams in Perth within hardcore, jungle & DnB from 2001-2006 hosting many events
in clubs and pubs and also putting on 2-3 All-Ages Raves a year in warehouses in
and around the city.

Being born in England but moved to Australia at 4 years old, he moved back to the
UK in 2012 to spend some time with his Grandparents. After starting his music
production journey in 2005 with some friends in their home studio’s as a supplement
to deejaying, once back in London he started to properly focus on music production
and gained his first release on Spandangle Selection records in 2022 with a 2
remixes and then a 4 track EP of original work, big Simon Spangle8 for the
opportunity!

Olly then launched his own imprint called Sample Culture London in 2023 with a 3
track EP of 93 style jungle tekno LTD to 100 white labels. The label now mainly
releases LTD lathe cuts from himself and other Artists. Sample Culture London now
has 30 releases under it’s belt and is growing each year. Olly had a weekly show for
2 years on London based pirate Infrared.FM and has been playing sporadic sets on
Energy 1058 and various other pirate and legal stations with around London and the
UK and has now found a regular, weekly home at Eruption.

Vers-e-tyle’s style is strongly rooted in the sounds of 1991-1995 Jungle, Hardcore
and Jungle Tekno. Usually drawing on both newly released records and forthcoming
dubs along with some old records from that era during his deejay sets.

London based NFinnerty – (DubTastic Music) is a selector, singer songwriter, radio presenter & promoter with 25 years experience. Nicole started training with BBC Radio Sound engineers in 2001.  Nicole has since worked as a Radio Producer and Presenter on many Community and Pirate stations. If you go to Lion Vibes record shop in Brixton you will find her behind the counter selling & playing records . Nicole Finnerty spins Roots, Reggae, Dub & DnB & Jungle sounds to uplift crowds wherever she goes. 2025 has been a big year so far having been on tour supporting General Levy & Zion Train as well as being booked for Glastonbury & Shambala festivals, headlining Hootananny & playing on The Great Soul Soundsystem & 7th Planet Sound. Philosophy Professor by day, hardcore raver by night,The Dark Stranger started raving at NYC parties in the 90s. Influenced by hip hop, industrial, dancehall, punk, house, techno and jungle, he started MCing at Konkrete Jungle and Jungle Nation in 95 as MC Whizz, before moving to the London, England for a few years and then Japan for five years after that. Transitioning  to DJing as the Dark Stranger, he was part of the Gravity Crew that helped to introduce old skool jungle to Tokyo. Now after a decade helping behind the scenes with NYC techno and drum and bass raves, The Dark Stranger has returned to being up front at parties, tech-house, amen breaks, hardstep, and jungle/drum and bass for your listening pleasure.

Oneko “Jahneko” Arika is a world-renown percussionist, music teacher, DJ, and lover of all things music. Born in Nairobi Kenya and based in the Coachella Valley, Oneko has performed on stages around the world for the past 25 years playing different styles of percussion with musicians from every continent. He has performed with headliners at many major festivals including the North Sea Jazz Festival (Rotterdam), Sauti Za Busara (Zanzibar), Creation of Peace Festival (Russia), and Reggae On The Mountain (California), just to name a few. Oneko is also a DJ and regularly hits the decks at events in the Southern California area. A dedicated specialist in African Reggae, Oneko is on a mission to share its rare soulful rhythms with the world through his show “Africa Reggae Road with Oneko”.

In addition to performing, Oneko is the co-founder of a nonprofit organization called March Forth Kenya Kids (MFKK). MFKK conducts their primary work in the neighborhood where Oneko grew up in Kenya. Using music, art and yoga, they aim to lead young people living under tough circumstances down a positive and successful life path. His love of teaching and youth empowerment has lead him to conduct music and art workshops for people on multiple continents. He also enjoys imparting his craft on the drum in 1:1 lessons.

Jon-Paul’s love affair with music began in 1984, collecting vinyl years before touching decks. Inspired by the acid house explosion of the late ’80s, he began DJing in 1989 and soon dived deep into the UK rave scene. By 1991, he was co-running events under the Pygnosis banner and, a year later, supplying gear to legendary venues like the Casbah Club and Café de Paris.

Through the ’90s, his sound evolved from hardcore to house, trance, and back to the oldskool roots he championed on pirate radio—highlighted by a standout 1995 set at London’s Marquee. In the 2000s, he launched Total Sounds in Reading, a hub for DJs that also offered vinyl and equipment hire.

Still a vinyl purist, Jon-Paul plays festivals like Penn Fest and Let’s Love Life, promotes events under Deja-View, and spins everything from hardcore to Balearic and deep house .

I’m primarily a music lover that likes anything I can connect with and draw energy and emotion from. I was given a tape to listen to in 1990 and never looked back, I was hooked!

I ended up playing at local parties and pubs in Norfolk for a few years, I then moved back “down south”.

I spent the next 15 years in front of the speakers, spending Saturday afternoons record shopping and bedroom DJing, I did think about trying to get on a pirate but never acted on it.

Family and career came along so music took a back seat, listening to the radio and mixes here and there but not playing anymore.

Enter covid and the lock down…………..time to pick this back up and look at the digital side of playing, like many others in lock down, I bought a controller and some vinyl decks. Fast forward to 2024, I was in the chat room on a multi genre Mixcloud station, got chatting to the station owner who persuaded me to join the station, I ended up presenting 2 shows a week, during this time I also joined another station so would be playing from 4 to 8 hrs a week.

Another short fast forward and I’ve ending up joining one of the pirates I listened to back in the day, the mighty Eruption radio!
